Re:Error submitting new sitemap Karma: 0
Dear John,

After changing both textfields in configuration - advanced, this is the result:
analyze sitemap links - all 0 not found.
search engine metainfo - all blank
seo spider - all 0

Why is that? I dont understand why include www. and dont include matters so much?

Thanks,
Teddy

Hi Teddy,

the rule of thumb is using the domain version that you have registered in webmasters tools.

If you had previously entered some metainfo for links without 'www' they won't be showed anymore for links with 'www' because links are changed and different so this is normal. But you should be able to work with analyzer and seo spider as well as before this is not normal, evenutally try to clear all the Joomla cache that's could be the problem and ensure that sitemaps are not cached. If you have issues just revert to the previous domain.

So you are saying setting it to either one www. or without wont hurt the other when indexed by google?

Thanks,
Teddy

1. Yes of course, i meant google webmasters tools. Google let you choose the preferred domain to index your website, with or without www prefix. After that the Joomla website must run accordingly with the same domain chosen

2. Ensure that you are accessing the Joomla backend accordingly, http://www.runningtext.id/administrator or http://runningtext.id/administrator. If you are working for http://www.runningtext.id you must access and work with jsitemap using http://www.runningtext.id/administrator and not http://runningtext.id/administrator

Sorry I still dont see it will affect anything.

Thanks,
