i think this is a misunderstanding due to the language barrier maybe? i will try and explain with the help of screenshots...

what i call "blog" homepage, is a category in joomla (category blog view), showing on HOME...

on HOME, this category shows all articles starting with the most recent first

in JSSITEMAP i am using the BLOG category as a content data source (please see the screenshots), but there, the ordering is erratic (please see the two links on my last comment)

No no i fully understood you.

But it can't be done. The order INSIDE a category in the HTML sitemap can be:

- By Joomla ordering (default)
- By article title

BUT NOT by date descending as you have in your home page.
