I can't figure out how I can exclude a main category but display the nested category items in the sitemap. Running a multilingual website I have created 3 main language categories (German, French , English). Within these categorie I have nested categories like CONTENT, BLOG, ETC...

e.g.
German
--Blog
--Content

When I want to display just the Blog-content I still need to include the main category e.g GERMAN which will then show in the sitemap. How can I change this?

this is how it and Joomla nested sets normally work on a tree-hierarchy basis, thus excluding parent categories you exclude also child categories.

In your case i would suggest to avoid exclusions for the tree and simply hide the not needed items using CSS styles and selectors.
