I have a file called joomla.xml on main root, should I remove it? and show sitemap_xml.xml only?

Or I need Both?

This is the content of joomla.xml:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<extension version="2.5" type="file" method="upgrade">

The Joomla.xml file it's about the Joomla installation itself, nothing to do with sitemaps.

Using jsitemap normally it's enough manage the dynamic links for sitemap generation, so no need to place static sitemap files on server root, unless sitemap is very big and needs to be splitted.
