sh404 configuration for Jsitemap Karma: 1
Hello,

I've contacted the sh404 support team regarding the configuration advised to get the component compatible with Jsitemap (Ijn Sitemap documentation).

Indeed in Jsitemap documentation it is advised to configure sh404 that way:
- in "by component" tab
- set Jmap to "Use Joomla rooter"

But several features of sh404 are not working in that mode (like the 404 errors management). So, that's why the sh404 support team advises rather to set it to "Leave as non SEF".

That's what I've done for testing and it seems to be a success:
- XML sitemap submission to Google Webmaster: OK
- HTML module sitemap generation: OK
- Analyze sitemap links: OK
- sitemap generation for XML sitemap, Mobile and Google News: OK

So, is it enough to consider that my sh404 is OK ?
Is there others stuffs to check before ?

Regards,

lematmat

Joomla: 3.4.1
JSitemap: 3.3
sh404: 4.4.9.2487

Hello lematmat, thank you very much to report this!

if the sh404sef team advices to configure it in this way i will change the JSitemap documentation suggesting to use also 'Leave as non SEF' to preserve the 404 errors page.

Best regards

John

Why not just make JSitemap compatible?

This is an option we are planning to develop a specific integration.
