Hi again Bob,

well Hikaskop is not so easy to manage for SEF urls mainly because it uses a proprietary routing system and not the Joomla standards. This is also a problem for sh404sef.

Fantastic support! My marriage has been saved - seriously, I'm very grateful to you John!
I've spent what seems like half a lifetime resolving difficulties with duplicate content that stem from a poorly generated sitemap. This extension has helped enormously and the support has just set a new standard - above and beyond the normal expectation for "first class support".

This post is solved.

You have to use the JSitemap plugin for Hikashop canonical available since many months.

There is a data source of type plugin for Hikashop canonical links that can be downloaded in the JSitemap folder.
Once installed it generates links using the canonical field of Hikashop.
The file name is hikashop_canonical.zip
