[SOLVED]Google webmaster Tools Karma: 0
Hello

I was trying to setup the web master tools within Jsitemap pro. Accessing google analytics works fine, but when I click on webmaster tools I get the following error message at the top

Error calling GET https://www.googleapis.com/webmasters/v3/sites/http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mypage.com/sitemaps?key=mykey: (403) User does not have sufficient permission for site 'http://mypage.com/'. See also: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2451999.

The google help page didn't help me, since I didn't know what to do.

I checked my page about the availability of the folder "sitemaps". There wasn't a folder with that name, therefore I created one. Permissions set to 777 for the test. No luck.

Can you give me a hint?

Thanks

Roger

Hello Roger,

it's related to your Google account, nothing to do with permissions. Specifically, you should check the domain specified for Webmasters Tools, in the message i see that the site domain is reported as 'http://mypage.com/' ?

Eventually ensure to specify the correct domain for your website registered in webmasters tools in the JSitemap configuration as below image,

John

Sorry I changed the domain name in the screenshot. Will check to add the real domain as mentioned in your screenshot.

Ok, the message however means that you are trying to connect to a Webmasters Tools website that is not associated with the Google account used to do the login.

Hi John

Here is the real message except the key

Error calling GET https://www.googleapis.com/webmasters/v3/sites/http%3A%2F%2Fwww.samariter-osv.ch/sitemaps?key=mykey: (403) User does not have sufficient permission for site 'http://www.samariter-osv.ch/'. See also: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2451999.

To access Google Analytics of my page I use the same account as I entered in Jsitemap. If I push the button Google Analytics in Jsitemap I get all the information the login works fine at this point.

Cheers

Roger
