Disable HTML Sitemap Karma: 0  
Hallo,

a few hours ago I bought the pro licence of jSitemap. Great component!

After playing around with jSitemap, I got my first question: Is there a way to disable the HTML sitemap?

Hello thank you

Not sure what you mean for 'disable HTML sitemap'. it's a sitemap format that is shown only if you publish it on your site through a menu item for example.

If you mean instead disable some data source from the HTML sitemap, inside each data source you find a button 'Yes/No' to exclude it from the HTMl sitemap.

I don't have a menu item for the html sitemap, but I can get the sitemap by use the URL:
www.mydomain.com/index.php?option=com_jmap&view=sitemap

Is there a way to disable that?

That's a link to shown the HTML sitemap, but it's disabled by default. Unless you open it. You have to enable it explicitely linking a menu item. If you don't have a menu item it's disabled.

Everyone who knows about the link can access the page. For this reason, I do not agree that it's disabled.

If there is no way to disable through the jSitemap component, I have to redirect using the .htaccess.

Well technically nobody should know that link, it's only accessible in backend.

However if your concern is not showing any output in the HTML sitemap you could simply disable the option to render HTML inside settings of each data source, the result will be an empty page.

If instead you want a redirect/404 page, this can only be done using the htaccess of course, this means disallowing a particular link of a Joomla component.
