Problem while adding XML sitemap Karma: 0  
Hello,

For our website www.moderne-verdonck.be we tried to submit the sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools. This is the link: http://www.moderne-verdonck.be/index.php?option=com_jmap&view=sitemap

Google gives the error "sitemap url restricted by robots.txt"

This is our robots.txt: http://www.moderne-verdonck.be/robots.txt

We have other websites online, with the same robots.txt, and they don't have this issue.

Do you know how to fix this?

Hello Jeroen,

the link you are trying to submit is wrong, you need to submit the XML sitemap not the HTMl one.

The correct link is this: http://www.moderne-verdonck.be/index.php?option=com_jmap&view=sitemap&format=xml

Actually, I did supply the XML sitemap. Here I posted the wrong link, but in GWT the correct link was submitted.

Ok, this is correct.

However at the moment your robots.txt is not blocking this link... if you have changed it recently it could be the case that you have to wait that Google Webmaster will refresh it.

Indeed it's not blocking the link in my eyes.

I've put the website online this noon. Tried it then and now again (5hrs later).

You think this will be fixed within a few days?

Ah ok this explain everything. If you have disallowed the site till today probably Google was instructed to be blocked. Wait 2-3 days for a new fetch of the robots.txt.
