[SOLVED]Is there a way to disbale JSiteMAp in the Control Panel? Karma: 0
Hi,
Is there a way to stop display of the JSitemap in Control Panel? See attached image.
I am trying to create a really sparse login for people who only do content editing.

Yes David, take care that it's a standard Joomla module. You can publish/unpublish it or manage access levels. The module is listed in the Joomla modules list of type 'Administrator'

Hi John,
I think I am missing something.
I can certainly prevent access (You do not have permission to access this extension) by the ACL but I would like not show the option for this ACL.
Another way to describe what I would like to do is "un-publish" for this ACL only. The philosophy is that if someone cannot access something, why present them with the option just to tell them that their access is denied.

Hi David, i completely don't understand.

It's a module, Joomla uses access levels to chose which groups is able to see it or not to see it. We are talking of the module in your screenshot right?

Another thing is the component that is accessible under the Joomla menu. The ACL access for the component is ruled by the permissions in the component configuration.

On one side you have a module, on another side you have a component. One ACL is used for the module, another ACL for the component.

Regards,
John
