Hello Guido,

yes it looks like a problem of too big file and not enough resources on the server to split and export the sitemap.
I guess that you used the precaching to generate the whole sitemap before trying to export it.

Eventually try to have a look at the server log to understand the exact problem, it could be memory or timeout.
