[SOLVED]Error Generating precaching sitemap Karma: 0  
I keep getting an -error genearating sitemap. i've looked in the forum and the manual but can't find any solution.

i've set the permissions for the precache folder to 777 already and that doesnt solve the problem.

Anyone seen this before? and have an ide to slove it?

the error could depend on many different factors such as a bugged plugin installed on Joomla not only on folder permissions. You can have a quick look at the bugged plugins list here: http://storejextensions.org/faq/xml-sitemap-results-not-well-formatted.html

For other users reading this post, the problem was due to the mixed SSL protocol used for backend and frontend.

SSL backend: https://www.website.com/administrator

Not SSL frontend: http://www.website.com

This causes the browser to block the precaching process from the backend to the frontend
done from a secure https origin (backend) to the normal plain http frontend.

The solution is accessing the backend using plain http or enable the https even in the frontend.

Hi - i had the same issue - i set my site to use www but when i logged into the admin panel, it does not go to www and only to the domain like

dassenheuwel.co.za/administrator

I then had the put the www in again and had to log in again and make sure that the www is in front, and then i had no problems - just for info for someone else...
