To test if this issue is related to Javascript response on server, a quick test to do is using the alternative method to create a data source for installed extensions. Once inside the Wizard screen, right-click on the component icon you need to add and choose 'Open link in new tab'. If all goes well you should see the green message about data source successfully created.
