Hello,

in order to have menu items of type 'External URL' in the XML sitemap you have to enter absolute URLs such as: http://www.mydomain.com/page.html
and not relative ones such as:
page.html

This is done because a valid XML sitemap MUST contain only links pointing to the same domain.
In your case if you have verifed all subdomains in Google Webmasters Tools you should be able to get it accepted once added subdomains links to the main sitemap.
