create sitemap with joomla smart finder db? Karma: 0  
i have a component (comdev's jomholiday) that has a smart search index plugin, but no jsitemap support.

would it be possible to include items that are included in the native joomla smart search function in to the site map as a way to grab content from many non-supported components?

Hi,

no it's not possible , the Joomla smart search is an indexer and not a frontend component generating links.
The sitemap needs links, thus real components integration and the search function is a completely unrelated thing.

What can be done is integrate jsitemap with your component comdevs' jomholiday using a custom data source.

Hello,
there is already a JSitemap plugin to integrate with jomholiday component.
Look at the download area for JSitemap, under the folder 'Data sources plugins for third-party apps' and you will find the JomHoliday plugin.
Take care that it's a JSitemap data source plugin and NOT a Joomla plugin, so install it in JSitemap as a plugin data source through the wizard, follow PDF docs if needed.
