SEF extensions with Jsitemap Karma: 0  
Hello,

We are using many extensions like easysocial/blog/discuss, komento, jreviews
jsitemap help us to create our sitemaps and just great.

We was wondering if we need a SEF extension for joomla ? we was using sh404sef, it was usefull for monitor urls but we'd lot of problems with other extensions.

Any advise please ,

Hello,

sh404sef and similar extensions are an optional for Joomla.
Joomla is already capable to generate SEF URLs very good for indexing so third party extensions in my opinion are not needed and i never recommend to use them.
Often you get more problems than advantages.

Hi John,

Thanks for the response, exactly what we got, more problems than advantages
what do you recommend to monitor URLS especially 404 erros and customise this page ?

If your concern is to monitor 404 pages you can just use the built in tools of JSitemap, the links analyzer and seo spider. Also there is a configuration option in JSitemap to add a custom HTML to the 404 page for customisation.
Finally if you use Google Search Console you find tools to monitor errors and 404 pages.
