I think there must be a bug in Jsitemap somewhere.

I got the error message from google that 404 file is not found.
After checking the links, i found that if the web address are written like this:

example.com/test

There will not be provided an 404 error file

If i write the address like this:

example.com/index.php/test

Then the 404 file will be shown.

And i believe that no matter how you mispell the address, the error file should be found, - not only if the index.php are in the address line.

not sure what about your post... 404 file doesn't exist at all, eventually you mean 404 page.

However there is no relation between 404 page and JSitemap. A 404 page is trigged by the Joomla core when a content is not found.

The different for the /index.php/ part depends on how you have configured the htaccess and links rewriting.

I didn't knew that it is Joomla Core that are handling that. I actully thought that it was JSitemap because it gives me the ability to make a custom 404 page.
Anyway, thank you for the answer, - at least now i know where to go and do something about it, - i just have to find out what to do

Indeed the feature of JSitemap is only meant for customizing the text of the 404 page when a content is not found in Joomla.
