Priorities and Exclusions are not updated on XML Karma: 0  
Hi everyone,

In my Pro JSitemap version, the priority levels and menu exclusions are not being updated in the XML sitemap.
All I get is 0.5 priorities for all menus and articles, despite having assigned different levels.

What have I missed?

Hi Luis.

could it be the case that the XML sitemap is cached?

If it's generated in realtime all the changes have to reflect on next generation immediately,
both for exclusions, priorities, etc

No, I am not using Cache.
I've allowed several days to refresh, but changes never take place.

Hi Luis,

to ensure that the sitemap is not cached you can easily try to unpublish some data source to check if the sitemap decrease number of links.
If it doesn't change that means that it's cached, also the Joomla cache plugin if active caches the sitemaps.

Hi John,

I still can't do it.

By the way: is it possible to get the sitemap sorting the entries by date of publication?
The XML file seems to sort the entries in a completely random order.

Hi Luis,

i think you refer to entries for articles... isn't it? (i mean data source 'content' )
If so the order is by default by categories and by Joomla ordering for articles, it's required for HTML sitemap but for the XMl sitemap the ordering of entries is completely not relevant.

Still curious about the priorities you can't change
