Pressing the Robots.txt Editor button does not work.

Error:
File robots.txt not found in your Joomla! folder, please check your file system

Robots.txt is present in the root of my webiste(!)

The robots.txt is by default searched in the same folder and server path where you install your Joomla.
If it's not found it means that it's not in the same folder.

Check the parameter in the screenshot to try if this is your case.

I Pressed the "no" option and Robots.txt Editor works again!

Obviously I did not understood your notification.

Joomla is not installed in a sub folder. So Joomla is installed in the root of my webserver.
Perhaps the text: .. At the top level root folder. confused me. So I opted initialy for "Yes"

Anyhow,.. It's working! I am happy
