[SOLVED]SH404SEF - Sitemap showing within Template Karma: 0  
Hi

Have looked through documentation and forum and I cannot fins an answer. When I first installed a few years ago it was OK but now I have the problem that the sitemaps are inside the Template...

I have looked at raw and formatted. - both the same. I have attached a screenshot

Hope that you can help please.

Hi

I guess that you have sh404sef installed and it's not properly configured to deal with XML links.

To fix configure it as reported in this FAQ: https://storejextensions.org/faq/can-jsitemap-work-with-sh404sef.html

Or in the PDF document available in the download area and attached here.

To overcome the issue with the currrent configuration of sh404sef you can even use the following working link.
https://www.ifootpath.com/sitemap/xml?lang=en&format=xml

Many thanks - I had read that document and I had thought I had made the change in SH404SEF - but I hadn't - now working thanks.

Hi

The solution did work - but it changes the format of my website's URLs so I cannot use it.

Is there another solution I could try?

At the moment I have added the URL https://www.ifootpath.com/sitemap/xml?lang=en&format=xml to Google webmaster.

But the other sitemaps (images, etc.) are not working - so I guess I need new URLs for all of them?

Hi,

no you are misunderstanding something, it's not possible that such parameter of sh404sef changes the format of your website's URLs. Unless you changed something else outside what is written in the PDF document.

However if for some weird reason you want to use an alternative solution, you have specify the format parameter for all other sitemap links accordingly.

https://www.ifootpath.com/sitemap/mobile?lang=en&format=mobile https://www.ifootpath.com/sitemap/images?lang=en&format=images

... etc ...
