Incorrect Namespace in Webmaster Tools Karma: 0
Google is saying:

Your Sitemap or Sitemap index file doesn't properly declare the namespace.

How can I correct this?

Thanks,
Bill S.

Hi Bill,

i think we already talked by mail about this.
If i'm not wrong the problem was due to https also contained in the XML declaration of the sitemap.
As a result of tests we did there is something activated on the site that replace https everywhere.

Kindest regards,

John

Thanks John.

You are right. The site has tie .htaccess set to force https. I will see what I can do. I am sorry for repeating this question.

Thanks. I just want a clean Google webmaster report.

Regards,
Bill S.

Hi Bill,

don't worry happy to help you.

The last resort would be manage a classic static file for the sitemap to correct the XML namespace before submitting to GWT, but if you are able to solve the auto replacing of https it would be better because you can use dynamic generation.

Best regards

John
