[SOLVED]JChat Social javascript conflict with Virtuemart Karma: 0  
Hi. When I have Jchat Social installed, my shopping cart Add to Cart doesn't work. My store is live so I can't show you. But I have Jchat installed and disabled at www.forrestastrology.com/store. I use Virtueplanet one page checkout http://www.virtueplanet.com/vp-one-page-checkout-detail which has extra javascript for the cart, so the conflict could be with their code and not VM. Any ideas how to troubleshoot?

Hello,

it could be due to jQuery versions included in the page, especially if you are using Joomla 2.5
In this case try to exclude the jQuery inclusion or change loading mode of JChat using the settings visible in the image below.

Thanks so much. That solved my cart problem, but now Jchat doesn't show up in my module. The JQuery version being used probably doesn't match Jchat's?

That could be the case because as far as i know Virtuemart uses an old version of jQuery and they have never updated it. Another setting of JChat that could help is try to choose 'Scripts loading' -> 'Deferred loading'.

Usually it's possible find a correct setup using settings of JChat, if it doesn't show up check eventually post me the page link i will have a look at the source code.

(you don't have to be logged in to see the Chat in the right column.) The chat module is installed there and was working before I discovered the VM conflict.

Yes i had a look, the chat can't work in that page because jQuery is not included and it's missing
Try to setup backend parameters.
