I think it is javascript conflict


the akeeba backup would be not less than 7 GB!

I understand, try to reset the component to the inital state, using not a module but the predefined rendering. In the component advanced configuration there are some parameters to solve javascript conflicts. You can try them. Also post a screenshot of the developer console if you have some js errors reported.
