Hi and thanks for interest, the chat bar is the default behavior and can be customized if needed.
You can display the chat using Joomla module and template positions, you can also disable the public or private chat features.
Both professional and enterprise edition support a menu link to a form to join the chat as shown here:

The Enterprise edition include also a private messaging feature between registered users as shown here:
