My site has very unique requirement. I have two types of users - Male and Female, they belong to user groups/access levels - Male and Female respectively.

I want to allow users in Male type/access level to be able to chat/message with the users in Female type/access level. The users in Male type should not be able to chat/message users in Male type

Similarly, users in Female type should be able to chat/message with users in Male type and not any user in Female type.

Is it possible with this plugin ?

no this feature is not included in the extension.
It would require a match to allow chat only to same group/access level, Male to Male and Female to Female.

However the feature to limit the chat between users belonging to the same Joomla user groups is currently already included in the standard component package.

I want the users to not able to contact members of their current group. Is it very difficult to implement if the same group option is already present (just negate that, right ?)

Yes right, it would be the opposite of the current one that need to be negated. It's easy to do.
