How do you implement https on an existing site with http without url problems? Karma: 0
I’m not to sure about the https implementation.

If I understand well the https is needed only for the video chat.

If I want to use it on an actual web site front page (not https) can I ?

If not, I guess I can have a special https section/url if I want to use the video chat?

If not using video on a front page (that is not https) can I use your chat (without video) ?

Hello Patrick,

please refer to this FAQ: http://storejextensions.org/faq/access-to-videochat-does-not-longer-work-on-google-chrome-why.html

The SSL certificate for https is required only for the videochat feature and only for Chrome 47+

All other chat features work without https and the videochat too on Firefox without https.

Thanks.
If I understand well how certificate work, you can have a section (url) that will be https but not necessary the whole site only for the video chat.
Easier to do with an extension like —> http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/site-management/url-redirection/yireo-ssl-redirection that permit to easily choose what url become https contrary to Joomla itself that turn on https on all site of nothing.
Just tell me if I’m correct?

I think it's doable if you create a menu item section of your website managed by Yireo SSL.
