There's no aound or the mic is not picking any sound..

Version Joomla 3.5.1

Jchatsocial ver 2.7.1

This is known due to recent changes of Chrome version 51

Indeed you have to update the JChat component to the latest version 2.9.1 to have it working again. And clear the browser cache after the update.

Do i need to purchase again or i can download it free of charge for a year?

Obviously you have free updates for 1 year. There is also the auto updater where you can place your email address, works the same as this one http://storejextensions.org/faq/how-can-i-update-the-component.html
