Upgrade from 2.7.1 to 2.9.1 Karma: 0
Hello John,

Just a question. I made modification in stream.php and messaging.php to limit users list in 2.7.1.
I would like to know if the new version of 2.9.1 has something changed in stream.php and messaging.php.
Could I reuse my 2 modified files?

Thanks
Bertrand

Hello Bertrand,

only the file strea.php has changed, so you should reuse only the file messaging.php
Apply again your changes to the latest stream.php

Hello.

I have installed the latest Jchat on Jomsocial site.
Why do I see the default jomsocial avatar?
How can I have jChat to use jomsocial avatar that user use and my default design?

What needs to be done so chat will use the avatars on the site?

Please sent me details instruction to achieve it.

Thank you.

Hello,

the easiest way to change default avatar icons is to replace them in the following folder of the chat component using the same default avatars of your JomSocial:

root/components/com_jchat/images/avatars/jomsocial

There are 2 icons default_my.png and default_other.png used for default avatars that you can replace with your preferred ones. Please notice that the chat component does not distinction about sex for users because it's a feature of JomSocial so this is NOT possible to have different default avatars by sex.

Regards
