Base Theme Question Karma: 0
Just installed Responsivizer and when I activate it, the expose framework base template page comes up and not the same as the desktop. It happens also when I append ?template=responsivizer for testing. Is there a way to define the template that responsivizer should go to?

Hello kevin,

after that Responsivizer is installed when the site is visited by mobile devices the template used is the mobile built in by default.

This is the same result that you get using the device emulator or using the string ?template=responsivizer to test.
You can choose to switch to a different mobile template acting on the parameter below (by default the built in template)
However notice that if you switch to a third party mobile template several features won't be available, such as modules management, exclusions, settings for layout, etc as discussed here http://storejextensions.org/faq/can-i-use-a-custom-mobile-template.html

Also just to be sure that everything is clear, the desktop template can't come up on mobile. Please refer to this FAQ for this concept. http://storejextensions.org/faq/will-responsivizer-make-my-desktop-site-and-template-responsive.html

Thanks, I'm still a bit confused though. The template that comes up for mobile isn't the template we use, nor does it have any of the info from our website. I understand that it won't format the same, but shouldn't the info from the website show up?

Well it depends on how modules and template positions are managed and assigned on the desktop template. For this reason there is the modules manager of responsivizer and the positions associations table that let you match elements from the desktop to the mobile template. Also usually on mobile you want to display only a subset of informations.

More info on these basic concepts can be found in the pdf documentation.
