[SOLVED]Responsivizer image cache issue after 2.2 update Karma: 0
After updating a test site, have not updated live site yet, there seems to be an issue with images in K2 modules on the site. The path seems to be changed to a cache path, here is an original link;
/_orig/media/k2/items/cache/3e04fb9a1a5c2d0e8729e590da1f436a_S.jpg
and this is what it has been changed to after the update;
/_origcache/com_responsivizer/d879615d8b22bccd6d19e37956e6914568776bc4.jpg

Other images are displaying so this seems to be an issue with K2 content. After the first install of Responsivizer we needed to copy over a K2 override from the main template's html folder to the responsivizer html folder. The override is still there. Renaming the override folder does not help an d causes a php error and a blank page on the frontend.

Hi Ray,

yes i remember your website. But the update of Responsivizer and the override that was needed for K2 are not related with this issue.
The images results broken because of a wrong path, after activating the setting 'Enable image optimization' under Responsivizer -> Plugins Settings.

Indeed it looks like on the production site this is not enabled, disabling it will fix the problem.

Hi John,
I disabled image compression in the Responsivizer template settings, now the images are showing. I am now getting a message and warnings displaying on the non mobile version of the site;
in FireFox;

Message

Responsivizer detection: mozilla/5.0 (windows nt 6.1; wow64; rv:40.0) gecko/20100101 firefox/40.0

Warning

JDatabase::getErrorMsg() is deprecated, use exception handling instead.

There is a long list of warnings, that is just the first one. I have error reporting set to none but am still getting the message and warnings. Your user account is still active on the test site if you need to log in. I also tested in Chrome and got the same warnings.

Hi Ray,

that's ok.
The warning are shown because you have enabled the debug in the component settings.
Go under 'Plugin settings' and disable the debug option.

Yes John, that was it, disabled Debug in plugin settings and message and warnings are gone. Looks like I am ready to go live this weekend.
