Strange statistics Karma: 0
Hi all,

I'm using Jrealtime for while now, but i got a smal problem. I'm from the Netherlands and our website is aimed on the Dutch market.
In the statistics I see allot of visits out of the usa. Those visits are totaly insignificant. And most of the time it is the same IP adress. without an operatingsystem and more clicks than the landingpage. So the bouncerate get a wierd %. I want filter all the USA IP adresses so my stats are real and target on the Dutch people.

How can i do that?

Grtz.

Peter

Hi Peter,

so i guess that those IP address from USA could be SPAM or BOTS visiting your website.

You have to use the exclusions filter by IP Address to exclude them to be tracked.

See the screenshot attached.

John

Hi John,

Thnx, i'm gonna try that. I tought it were different IP adresses each day. If that so, is it possible to block a complete country?

Hi Peter,

as of now it's not possible to block a whole country, however if you identify different ranges of IP addresses from USA you can block them all.

John

Hi John,

Last days I try to figure this out. But there are way to much different IP adresses to filter them one by one. You suggest to filter complete IP ranges. How can i figure out whats the IP range of complete USA?

When i filter the IP ranges I only filter them from the statistics, i dont block them from the complete website right?

thnx again

Hi Peter,

at this address you find common ranges for bots: http://chceme.info/ips/

I attach a CSV file including a list of USA ranges, maybe you find it useful.

Meanwhile i can develop an exclusion system by country code in the next release.

Grtz,
John
