Hi,

I want to track mp3 direct downloads, or mp3's played by a streaming media player. I think the way to do this would be to use the Direct extensions tracking feature, but the player I'm using is not in the list. Is there one that is known to work?

Hi,

not that's not the case, this feature is not related to the tracking of direct files.
More exactly is normally not possible to track files download if files are directly hosted on the file system and not managed by a Joomla component such as Docman, etc

The only workaround technique is the one explained in the PDF docs for direct documents download.

Thanks for the help, John. I had read the workaround instructions but was hoping for something a little simpler that my technology-challenged secretary could handle. Not sure I want to try Docman. Will see what I can figure out.
