Screen reader not showing on front page and no audio Karma: 0  
Hi

I have just installed the screen reader but it is not displaying on the front page of the site and there is no audio on any page.

I have tried turning jQuery on and off without success. If I switch to the Protostar template the plug-in is displayed on the front page but there is still no audio. (I am using a Rockettheme template)

The demo on your website works OK.

Any thoughts?

Hi Trevor,

the problem could be due to some scripts conflicting or something else.

Post here the site link and i will have a deeper look.

Hi Trevor, i had a look.

The main problem is that the script used to read text is blocked on the server with a 403 Forbidden: http://boldre.org.uk.80-82-114-170.sandbox.ashdown-software.com/plugins/system/screenreader/screenreader/libraries/tts/proxy.php

Eventually check if this is ruled in the htacces and grant it.

Hi John

It was being blocked by Akeeba Admin Tools. I have added an exception and the audio is working fine now thanks. It is still not being displayed on the front page though!

great,

i'm able to see it in the home page if this is what you mean, as in the image attached.
