Screen reader can not see it 1 Year, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello to all.
I installed Screen Reader on www.icsbuonarroti.gov.it but the plugin bar is not visible on the home or on any page. What happens? What's the problem? I hope someone can help me.
Thank you
cordially

Hello,

Obviously I can't guess what's the problem.

I can only suppose that there's a JavaScript issue in your website preventing the plugin to work.

For example there are multiple jQuery inclusion that could cause issues such as

/components/com_imageshow/assets/js/jquery.min.js

You should try to check in your browser console for JavaScript errors

Best regards

How would this jQuery issue be resolved though? I have the exact same problem. I have an External Link Redirect Plugin that works amazingly well, but the Screen Reader now will not work because I use the other plugin. If I disable my External Link plugin, I have no issues seeing or using the screen reader. This is a large issue for me as both of these plugins are needed and help us be compliant.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

First thing to do is to contact the developer of the External Link Redirect Plugin to understand what's the JavaScript error that introduces and that affects even the screen reader. In particular if it's jQuery related it would be important to check if it has parameter to manage jQuery.
