Instant Facebook Login 2.10 J6/J5/J4/J3 - 2026/10/25


  • Fixed: LinkedIn login failing with "invalid_scope_error" / "Scope r_emailaddress is not authorized for your application" on new LinkedIn apps


  • Fixed: the redirect uri used for the LinkedIn login included the error parameters of a previous failed attempt, causing a redirect uri mismatch


  • Fixed: error on saving the component options on Joomla 5/6 when a third party plugin listening to onContentCleanCache (e.g. JoomGallery) is installed


  • Fixed: X/Twitter login now falls back to the X API v2 when the legacy profile endpoint is not available, and no Joomla user is created if the X profile cannot be read


  • Fixed: the details of the Joomla user creation error are no longer displayed to the visitor


  • Fixed: PHP 8.4/8.5 deprecation notices (curl_close, $http_response_header, fopen, fputcsv) and other minor PHP warnings in the login module, the redirection and the toolbar


  • Added support for the new "Sign In with LinkedIn using OpenID Connect" (scopes openid, profile, email), required by all the LinkedIn apps created recently


  • Added the X logo on the X/Twitter login buttons and updated all the texts of the component to X/Twitter


  • Added the Facebook SDK version 26.0 as the default for new installations (existing installations keep the version set in the options)


  • Improved the content share plugin to consider the category of the active category menu item
