Problem with htaccess Karma: 0
Hi,

i don't understand the redirect rules

How to set these rules in the htaccess editor? (joomla 3.4.8)

1. telling google don't show, crawl Pages that no more exist (404)
2. redirect all 404 errors to a predefined Page for example: mydomain.de/page404

Thank cou for helping

Hi,

about your questions a bit outside JRedirect and more related to the usage of htaccess/robots.txt:

1. Must be disallowed in the robots.txt. All pages that you know no more exist 404, can be disallowed from Google index and crawl. Use the rule Disallow: ....xxx....

2. This can be done using the htaccess with a special rule like this to redirect to a static 404 page file 404.html for example:
ErrorDocument 404 /404.html

Regards

John
