Hi,

it looks like an unsupported and not managed case.
Not all menu item type are redirected, it depends on the specific component if throwing an 404 error. Also the record is not created in the JRedirects list when a menu structure changes, only when an alias change a new record is needed and created, so that's expected.

However i will look deeper into this and eventually post here any update.
