AMP pages won't show... 2 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've used Jsitemap with great success for years, but JAMP isn't displaying the urls, I can't get the menu to work, and when I run tests on Google, it says my website isn't amp compatible. I have only had the plugin for 1 day, and only got it because I thought it would be seamless.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly.

If you refer to have JSItemap generating the AMP sitemap, it's because it must be enabled. It's written at this FAQ: https://storejextensions.org/faq/why-the-amp-sitemap-is-empty.html

By the way this is optional. JAmp generates meta tags to instruct Google about AMP links, in the source code of AMP enabled pages, you see the AMP link meta tag.

There are no Google tests saying that a website is 'amp compatible'. There are AMP urls used by Google to retrieve the AMP version of pages.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Google has a website that tests your website for Amp compatibility and finds AMP pages. It found none on my website. I also tried viewing amp versions of the website without success. When I enabled the sitemap, it was blank, so based on these observations, I came to the conclusion that it was not working automatically, or there was something else that I needed to do, which is why I asked for help.

No problem, i explain even more clearly.

As you know each AMP url ends with the '/amp' suffix. When a component/view page has the AMP version available the link is submitted to Google using the proper meta tag that you see in the page source such as https://www.makeitactive.com/design-services/235-design-services:
<link href="https://www.makeitactive.com/design-services/235-design-services/amp" rel="amphtml" />

The AMP sitemap using JSitemap can be submitted too, that won't hurt.

You can test your AMP pages on Google at this test link: https://search.google.com/test/amp
JAmp has the debug mode that allows you to do the test directly using the bottom toolbar.

I hope everything is clear now.

Thank you. It was obviously user error, which I understand now. How can I tell if my front page is showing as amp. A /amp did not yield any results?

I don't know how to include the menu. I read through the information that came with the plugin, and enabled everything on the plugin, but don't see a menu on an amp page that I tested.

Thanks again for your help!

Please go through the PDF documentation carefully, because i've already written everything you need to know about the usage and configuration.

There is a paragraph for modules and menu on AMP pages: 'Menu, sidebar and modules'

By default AMP is active for the single article view, if you want it for the home page too, you have to enable it accordingly.

It's the very first concept, first paragraph 'Main configuration'
