I was wondering if you had a step-by-step guide to submitting sitemap to GWT for an existing site ?

My first question is: can I submit all my maps on the control panel?

Link for HTML sitemap, XML sitemap, XML image and XML Mobile?

(My site is mobile ready on the root domain)

In the meanwhile:

-question with RSS-> due to a javascript code for Google Analytics incorrectly added to the XML of the feed, probably a bugged plugin?
-question with custom data source-> i should access backend to better help you
-question with sitemaps submission -> just submit the links to Google webmasters tools if you have an account in the section to submit sitemaps. Of course the HTML sitemap is not to submit, only the XML formats are to be submitted to search engines

Yes if you have granted access to URLs for 'video/player' in your robots.txt it's not immediate.
You have to wait that Google will fetch again the robots.txt and refresh it, usually every 2/3 days.

Hi John,

I have about 13 elements in this map that have an unwanted "/component/" fragment in the URL.

Example: http://www.quebecguitare.ca/component/k2/jaco-pastorius
http://www.quebecguitare.ca/component/jmap/sitemap/xml

Could you help me to get rid of them with the associated SEF expression "trick" that is associated with a menu item, if this can be applied to this case?

Please have a look on the backend if you can do something about it.

Hi Alex,

when the Joomla router uses component/k2 inside links means that it can't be resolved to an associated menu item. Usually with K2 you should have a menu item linked to that category of articles as for other links to apply the SEF alias.
