I encounter a very strange problem on some pages of my website.
In my XML images sitemap submitted to google some images are not displayed.

For example, here is a page: https://www.guillenphoto.com/cms/le-littoral-charentais-dessus-dessous-ete-2013.html

In this page I have an image with the name: exposition-dessus-dessous-amar-isabelle-guillen-vig-1.jpg. It is displayed.

But this image does not appear in my XML images sitemap.

It is not the only case. I have this problem on different pages.
Please would you help me to solve the problem because it is important?

Maybe I found a track for you.
I check the formatted XML images sitemap.
https://www.guillenphoto.com/cms/index.php?option=com_jmap&view=sitemap&format=images&xslt=1&lang=fr

I just found 49 URLs. I have more than 650 in French. This is the reason why I do not see a lot of images.

I guess I found the problem.

The XML images sitemap just shows images attached to pages linked to menus. It does not show images in articles that are not linked to menus.

It is very strange because I have a full list of articles with all the articles are shown in a regular in the XML standard site map which is:

https://www.guillenphoto.com/cms/index.php?option=com_jmap&view=sitemap&format=xml&lang=fr

Please would tell me how to include all the K2 articles in the XML images sitemap?

Hi,

this is normal and expected, the images sitemap is crawler based and by default ruled by the configuration setting to crawl 50 links and avoid timeouts.

Therefore I have a question. Now the sitemap is fully cached. What will happen when I add articles with images? Is the images sitemap going to be updated automatically or should I refresh the cache?

Yes if you add articles you have to refresh the cache.
To manage everything automatically you should use the cronjob solution scheduling it on your server.
