[SOLVEDUsing separate articles depending on device Karma: 2
Hi again,
Is it possible to create an article for mobile devices only.
For eaxmple I have a contact page that is made for desktop resolution and I would like to make another contact page for mobile devices so when using a mobile phone I wouldlike it to automatically shift to the mobile contact page and when using a desktop it automatically shows the desktop (normal) version.
Like when I I choose which page should be the starting page for the whole site.

Regards
Micke

Hi Micke,

normally this is done for home page and the component is able to manage that using the feature for custom home page.
If you have multiple pages that should contain different contents based on device/template, the best approach would be using different menu, one for desktop and one for mobile template with items that can be customized as preferred pointing to different contents.

Best regards

Ok I see well it's not such a bad idea, I'll go for that.
Thanks!

Re:Using separate articles depending on device Karma: 2
I have successfully set up the mobile main menu but now I just can't get rid of the regular main menu on the mobile site. I have tried to associate it only on the main content menus and the mobile menu only on the mobile menu contents but the regular main menu still show up on the mobile start page.
On all other articles the regular main menu is disappeared as it should.
How do I get rid of it?

Hi Micke,

you should check the module position used for desktop menu, if it's mapped to be shown also in responsive template you can exclude from mobile using the responsivizer modules manager, clicking on exclude from mobile.

You can also check the positions associations and if the desktop position is mapped you can delete it, for example 'menu' to 'responsivizer_menu'.

You should assign the responsive menu to position 'responsivizer_menu', the 2 menus need to have different positions to be independent in both templates.

Best regards
