Hi,

ensure that you have not other plugins installed that are introducing js errors also affecting the jrealtimeBaseURI variable. It must be defined and visible in the raw HTML source code.

About performance you can decrease the server load using the parameter 'Frontend server load' in the component configuration. Also see here: http://storejextensions.org/faq/does-the-component-consume-server-resources-when-active.html
