Hi,

there is the option to have the module as a popup (look at the configuration) but it's a module not a menu item. So it's not supposed to be used and opened as a menu item that are done for components in Joomla.

As far as i know to have a module opening as a popup using a menu item you need to rework a bit of javascript to mimic the modal button used by the module with the menu button too.
