[SOLVED]JSitemap Cache issue Karma: 0
I use JSitemap in a project with thousands Virtuemart categories and products.
In documentation I have read, that ich can activate the precaching feature for faster execution, but I think it do not work. In SEO dashboard I start precache process and after that i call the xml sitemap or html sitemap. But the receiving needs up to 3 minutes. Then i can see in SEO dashboard, that the status of xml sitemap was reseted to "no cached".

I need help to realy activate the cache feature.

Hi,

the precaching is done for XML formats and not HTML. After the precaching has completed, the label must be 'green' and report 'cached' with a date. If it looks red 'no cached' it means that something is going wrong.

For a HTML sitemap usually it would be better limiting the number of products to the most recent or include links only to categories of products, A large HTML sitemap could slow down the browser for the user visiting the site.

if you need help to configure the precache on site, please contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it providing an admin account.

John, Thank you so much for fast and prompt support.
Now my multi-language-multi-domain project shows large sitemaps very fast. I'm so happy.

hi,

Its not possible to precache the sitemaps (only the normal xml).
After some minutes the popup close and nothing happens.
