A few questions on features Karma: 0
I tried reading the forum but just to clarify as of version 2.2:

  1. -Users cannot create their own chatrooms on the front-end, they must be premade by admins in the backend

  2. How are chatrooms restricted? Password or only ACL? Can I have Group A only be able to see/chat in Chatroom A, and Group Be only be able to see/chat in Chatroom B?

  3. Previous conversation history is not viewable on frontend

I also saw version 2.3 will be released soon, will it be fixing the conversation history?

Thanks for the help. Extension looks pretty good, just need to make sure it will handle the few critical things we need it to

Hi Jon and thanks for interest,

the conversation history has already been developed and will be released in next version 2.3, both for private and public chat.

The chatroom are restricted using Joomla ACL and access levels, you can manage access to chat/conversation/rooms using groups and access levels.

Creation on chatrooms directly from frontend by users probably will be added in version 2.4.

Kind regards

John

Hey John,

i would like to display the value of a field from the users profile, under their username, in the user list.

Could you please point me in the right direction?

Hi,

you need to have skills for php and javascript to do this,
the source code needs to be customized to get desired data from database model
and show up using javascript application.

I do know some php and javascript, I was hoping you could tell me which file(s) to look at to see where the userlist is created
