The file attachments exchanged during chat session are temporary stored in the folder named 'cache' in the component frontend folder. You can find here any file sent, if you need to change the path this requires change in source code setting the cb folder as destination for attachments

I have enjoyed the extension. Great job!

My question is, is there a way to keep conversations in the chat window with another user if the window is closed. I noticed that closing the window and reopening it kills the prior conversation. I would very much enjoy if this were not the case.

In addition to this, is there a way to show the user that is offline, still into the list and allow a message to go through that can be seen when the user comes back online?

This chat component will have a great development in next months with a lot of new features.
As for now, the conversations as kept using Joomla sessions, so when you close a chatbox and reopen it, the comversations are not lost. The conversations are lost when you logout and Joomla session is lost.

As a priority requirement, in next release 2.3 is already planned to develop a messages history system, to allow to recover previous conversations when you logout and login again.

About the offline users currently is not supported, but it's a good feature request so i'll add to wishlist to develop

I have been using jchatsocial pro on my website for a couple of days now and am impressed but many of my users would like the ability to send messages to Members who are offline so that when the receiver comes online he or she can see that there is a message waiting. I think this would mean there has to be some sort of drop down box to select an offline Member and also some clear notification that a message is waiting to be read when the receiver logs on. I can see this idea has been asked for in an earlier posting so I am just adding my name to the list of people asking for this facility to be added.
