Re:New development for JChatSocial Karma: 1
A couple more:

1.Only allow chat based on Joomla ACL Viewing Access (it means we can use it with paid subscriptions by matching paid groups in ACL) with or without integration to subscription component.

2. Allow admin to designate a user as 'support' when not using the 'live support' option. It means a member could have a private chat with the support user while normal chat is working for everyone else. The support user could have a Red 'Not Available' and Green 'Available' box that auto switches to Red when in a private chat.

There could be any number of users designated as support by admin and they could switch their support (Red/Green) box to off if they were just going into the chat area for a chat as a normal member.

This would solve the current problem of only allowing live support or group/private chat but not both.

About the point 1, you can already rule chat using Joomla ACL viewing access.

The chat is based on a Joomla system plugin, so you can easily apply access control to that plugin to choose who should view chat on frontend,

Best regards

Sorry John, I forgot to include the word 'Multiple' for ACL access.

We will have different Groups with Viewing Access for chat but the plugin only allows one to be picked.

For example if Registered is selected for Access, it would allow all but we have some registered groups that will not be allowed.

If there was a multiple choice similar to the Live Support Mode box in admin that would be perfect.

Now i understand,

so probably what you need is an ACL by groups and not by access level like happens with native Joomla plugin.

Perfect!

For example I have 7 Groups that have access to Viewing Area 1 but not all of the Groups would be eligible via paid subscription for chat in that viewing area.
